Questions
The tile itself can last 50 years or more. The underlayment beneath it does not, which is why most tile roofs need a lift and relay at 20 to 30 years. If your tile looks fine but you are getting leaks, that is usually the reason.
Usually. We source discontinued profiles and colors through our suppliers, and where an exact match is not possible we blend new tile onto less visible slopes.
Most homes built for tile are fine. If you are switching from shingles to tile, we will have the framing checked before quoting, since concrete tile weighs roughly three to four times as much as an architectural shingle roof.
Tile lasts longer and suits Spanish and Mediterranean homes; it is heavier and costs more up front. Architectural shingles are lighter, faster to install and cost less. We will price both if you are undecided.
